We strive to improve services and seek to raise the level of awareness about mental health by creating a professional approach to dealing with mental health from the perspective of individuals who have dealt with the challenges of the illness.

What is Supported Housing?Individuals are assisted in locating appropriate housing; usually in an apartment. The client is assigned a Peer Advocate that will assist in getting a home environment set up. The Peer will provide moral and practice support to the client by helping to locate an apartment and set it up. The Peer Advocate will inspect the apartment to insure that meets governmental requirements for safe housing guidelines. Accommodations must be within funding guidelines and are based on need depending on the situation. More funds are available to clients with dependents. In some cases "Start Up" funds are available. This would include Security Deposits and initial furniture cost. The program includes mandatory visits by a Peer Advocate on a regular basis. Back to Top
