About Housing Options

The bottom line at Housing Options Made Easy is measured in the number of people we serve and the number of jobs we create in the community.  Since we are a true non-profit, are motivation is service, not dollars.  Board members are striclty volentary and recieve no compensation. 

Major Growth

Since 2007 we have revitalized our training/education programs and are working on acquiring new housing opportunities for our clients.  The agency has expeirenced a lot of growth since that time.  In 2010 we have double the number of jobs in the community and now provide housing to over 350 individuales and families.  Approximately 30% of our clients were classified as homeless when they entered our program.  We are very successful at helping people live a better life.  In fact we are one of the top peer staffed and managed agencies in America.  We provide support to  individuals with mental illness and assist them to integrate into society with a productive and healthy lifestyle.

Since 1990

• Housing Options is comming up on 20 years of service to Western New York.  We will be celebrating our anneverary in the Fall of 2010.
• State and National Recognion:  We have recieved numerous awards over the years and we are currently in the process of creating new contracts out side of New York to model Housing Options as a way to provide cost effective housing for other states.  In January 2010 our Executive Directors has visited outside of New York to begin the development of similer agencies in other communites.
• We are commited to the Peer Movement with the belief that good clean affordable housing is the key to wellness and recovery.  There are two kinds of advocates in the peer movement.  Social Advocates who seek to change laws and individule advocates whe seek to improve the lifes of the disabled.  We are the latter, and therefore have no politicalal agenda.  As a result we lead by Example, not by Direction.
